It's the final countdown to your vows, are you ready? A last minute checklist will keep you on top of everything you need to remember while planning for your wedding day. There are so many things to do, items to bring, and something can easily be forgotten.
At the beginning of your wedding planning, you and your bride will have covered the basics such as booking a reception hall, choosing flowers and going over catering options. Once you get to the week before your wedding, you should be mostly prepared for your upcoming wedding. The last minute details are also important, and play a big part in a successful wedding. Make sure you've got it all by sticking to a last minute groom's checklist to help you be prepared.
A Week Before The Wedding: -Get a trim to tidy up your hairdo. Don't do anything drastic like chop your locks too much or try a different hair color. If you plan on getting a facial or a manicure, do this as well. Many spas have great men's packages with soothing massages, deep cleansing facials and amazing nail treatments. -Confirm the rehearsal dinner venue, and ensure your wedding party knows the time and place. -Confirm honeymoon travel arrangements including flights and hotel. Pack your suitcase for your vacation – don't forget your passport and camera!
One or Two Days Before the Wedding: -Pick up your tuxedo as well as the tuxedos for your groomsmen. Try on your tux to make sure that there are no final alterations to be made, and make sure you've got everything (vest, shoes, etc.) from the tux shop. -Set out your entire wedding day ensemble, including underwear, socks and cuff links or jewelry along with grooming products. -Attend the wedding rehearsal. Go over where you're wedding party will stand, your witnesses' role, and make sure the officiant has the correct pronunciation of your names. -Practice your vows. -Make sure your groomsmen and best man are clear on their duties. -Pack your bag for the hotel you'll be staying in the night of your wedding, if you're not leaving for your honeymoon immediately after the reception. Confirm your reservation at the hotel, including any special requests you have for the suite. -Go to bed early and get lots of sleep. The Day of The Wedding: -Shower, shave, moisturize, and pluck any stray hairs. -Put on deodorant. Bring it to the ceremony as you'll need it, along with cologne. -Eat a healthy breakfast. You might not have many chances to eat during the day. -Don't forget the bride's ring! Give it to your best man once you arrive at the church or hall. -Provide your officiant with your Marriage License. He or she will need to sign it. -Remember to bring your groomsmen gifts, and your bride's gift to the venue if the two of you are exchanging gifts. -Get dressed at least one hour before the wedding. -Have someone on hand to deal with last minute organization or unexpected problems. -Give your best man the envelope with the officiant's fee in it. |
