Get Fresh With Inspiring Wedding Bouquets and Centerpieces For a summer or winter wedding, outdoor or indoor celebration, flowers add beauty and elegance to any nuptials. For many brides, flowers are the most important wedding decoration, and florists take great pains to make bridal bouquets and centerpieces perfect. One way couples are showcasing their own personal touch is to provide the florist with centerpiece containers, and have the florist build various bouquets into the containers. You can match your centerpieces to your bouquet, or choose entirely different flowers that range from classic to modern and chic. For an outdoor summer wedding, natural looking containers make an excellent holder for centerpieces. These come in a range of colors and can even be hand-painted with designs for a personalized touch. A red tin pail with white roses makes a beautifully contrasting centerpiece, while a white pail can be filled with gerber daisies or lilies and put on tables or in entranceways. A woven basket holds sunflowers or daffodils and can be tied with a ribbon that matches the wedding theme and colors. Beach weddings are usually more informal, so flowers often reflect that. Seashell-shaped vases can be filled with tropical flowers, gardenias or lilies as centerpieces. Have greenery cascading over the sides of the container. Or, a clear vase can be filled with sand or rocks and a single flower can be placed in the centerpiece, along with a small candle. Tin pails can be painted with sunset or water designs and filled with summer flowers. Or, colorfully striped vases can be filled with brightly colored bouquets for tables. For fall weddings, harvest centerpieces provide a festive atmosphere for the wedding party.  A horn of plenty or colored vase showcases a selection of autumn flowers in burnt orange, burgundy, coral and red. Leaves or ivy, even miniature pumpkins and fruit, bring color to any fall bouquet or centerpiece. Deep red or brown candles can be artfully arranged within the centerpiece. Winter weddings call for simple, bold flowers or greenery. Frosted white vases look wonderful with a classic arrangement of red or white roses.  Holly or sprigs of pine and pinecones can be put into glass bowls or vases.  Pointsettias around Christmas enhance any winter wedding, especially when displayed in festive red or green pots or vases. You can even fill a glass container with peppermints and put one or two roses into the center, or have leaves sprayed silver or gold. Square shaped bowls or vases hold bamboo for Asian-themed weddings, and small rocks or sand will hold the shoots of bamboo in place. Asian characters on the containers reflect the wedding theme and perhaps the bride and groom's culture and background. Shorter bowls with bonsai trees  complete any Asian-themed wedding. When deciding on bouquet or centerpiece ideas, keep the height of the table in mind. You don't want your guests straining to see their tablemates or pushing aside tall leaves to have a conversation.  Decide if your wedding theme fits more with wider, shorter bouquets and centerpieces, or taller, thinner vases or containers.  Don't choose strong-scented flowers as it will distract from the meal and probably irritate your guests.  Also, if you choose an exotic flower like calla lilies, don't distract from it's beautiful simplicity with an overly detailed container. You can choose any type of wedding flowers you wish -  you don't necessarily have to stick to the basics. Think creatively: use wine bottles or fishbowls as containers. Alternate the height of containers for a more modern look, and fill with tulips or orchids. For a Victorian or French-themed wedding, tie lace or a strand of pearls around the flower stems or container. Ask your florist for some creative ideas, and explore exotic flower and greenery options.  A simple bouquet in a clear container can always be enhanced with ribbon or tulle to match the wedding colors.  Even a monochromatic bouquet or single flower makes a statement, and this simple but effective style is increasing in popularity for modern brides and grooms.  Look through wedding magazines and on wedding websites for ideas, and then personalize them with your own touch.  Let the time of year, wedding theme and budget influence your choice for wedding bouquets and centerpieces.Even if you're on a tight budget, you can still decorate your wedding venue with a beautiful array of fresh flowers.  By providing your florist with containers, you'll impress your guests and bring color and flair to your event!
